As a combination skin type I’m really curious to try out this new beauty product and see what it can do. It’s actually a finishing powder that can be applied also during the day whenever you need to retouch your makeup. It can be applied after your foundation and you won’t have to worry as it won’t transfer as a pink shade on your skin. This new 2-in-1 product is actually a new creamy powder that gives skin a healthy glow. YSL Touche Eclat Perfector – New – €40.00 It comes as a clear gel and will help you prep the skin for the next makeup step. After applying it the skin looks radiant, healthy and with a natural glow. YSL launches a new makeup base, actually it’s first with glowing effects. International Launch Date – 25 February 2015 YSL Touche Eclat Blur Primer – New – €38.00 You will find out more details if you keep reading after the break. Now we get to see two new products with high expectations: Touche Eclat Blur Primer and Touche Eclat Perfector. At first it was their new makeup collection, followed those beautiful limited edition Colour Variation Palettes, the Couture Mono Eyeshadow and let’s not forget the new addictive Black Opium (review) fragrance. Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat Blur Primer is available now on counters or at Sephora and wonder how many new products will YSL release for spring 2015. Perhaps if they introduced it as a nightly treatment of sorts? That could work? But not as a face primer! I’d love to tell you a story about how incredible Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat Blur Primer was but unfortunately this was a very big miss for me! I simply can’t recommend something this slick for use in the day under foundation. Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat Blur Primer Swatches Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat Blur Primer And I’m fine with that! I like shimmer but not on my face thanks very much! I’m not really sure about the entire gold shimmer luminosity thing because honestly after application I didn’t feel this added any radiance to my skin or my foundation. Instead, it ends up providing too moist a surface which makes my foundation fade away! It’s the type of product that provides a little too much moisture and doesn’t offer a surface that aids foundations in adhering to skin. Or at least it doesn’t in the day time, maybe in the evening, but wearing this in the day? No! I find that my foundation and bb cream feel like they are melting away over this. It’s funny as I shouldn’t complain about such a hydrating product considering I have drier skin but dare I say this is just overkill? Perhaps someone who has a finely lined face and more maturer skin might appreciate this but my own face, although dry, is fairly smooth and doesn’t really need four different oils to hydrate it. It’s just way too slick, way too greasy feeling….! As I said it does have a silicone-like feel on skin so it does offer some blurring and filling abilities but the serum-like texture is very moist and slick on my skin and leaves me with a dewy finish. Too much and you’ll end up looking all kinds of greasy! I was thinking maybe my skin would appreciate this formula more when the cooler weather hits but I realize I’m making excuses for it. You have to be very, very, very, did I say very? Careful with this stuff! You really need the smallest amount to do your entire face. I find the texture is nothing at all like Honey Dew Me Up and toes the line at being part serum, part silicone primer. Add To Bag Ship to 23917 In stock: Usually ships within 2 business days. This is formulated with a ton of different oils including corn, apricot kernel, passiflora, and rice bran oil which YSL promises as skin softening but without the greasy residue (Ummm yeah, this is slick as hell). Yves Saint Laurent Touche clat Blur Face Primer, 1 oz. It comes housed in a gorgeous clear glass pump and quite resembles NYX Honey Dew Me as suspended in the clear primer base are tiny flecks of gold. I happen to be one of those two things as my skin is drier but not yet mature or at least I don’t think it is. Yeah, so, I’m not sure what demographic YSL is trying to target with this formula but I’m thinking drier, mature skin. Buying this is kind of like getting mugged and then putting Crisco on your face.” I read this review on and snorted myself silly at how accurate it was, “This is an exquisitely packaged bottle of silicone, perfume, and corn oil. I admit YSL Touche Eclat Blur Primer had me curious and considering I was able to purchase it during the 20% sale they were having I was all about giving it a try! Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat Blur Primer ($52) is a new illumtinating primer that promises to blur the appearance of imperfections while boosting the radiance of your foundation.
